  45. Full Description :-
  46.      WASP is a replacement for traditional printed Steam Tables, but it
  47.      goes further in that it provides a much wider set of properties, it
  48.      eliminates the need for interpolating between data points, and it will
  49.      work in any of the generally accepted units. There is context
  50.      sensitive, on-line Help available at all times.
  51.  
  52.      It contains data for 15 point properties, and 17 temperature and
  53.      pressure dependent properties for ice, water and steam.  Most of the
  54.      correlations cover the range from -100 °C to 800 °C and up to 1000 bar,
  55.      and some extend even beyond this range.  Calculated data points match
  56.      published data very closely.

  71.      The complete WASP package consists of the following files :-
  72.         GETRESP.EXE      Utility for interactive batch files
  73.         PAGE.COM         Text file display utility
  74.         README           This file
  75.         README.BAT       A batch file used to display or print this file
  76.         REGISTER.DOC     The order form for registering your own copy of WASP
  77.         WASP.EXE         The executable file for WASP
  78.         WASPBOOK.DOC     The instruction manual for the WASP package
  79.         WASPDEFS.DTA     Holds the selected units etc
  80.         WASPHELP.HLP     The on-line help instructions

  82.      Please ensure that all these files are included whenever you pass copies
  83.      of WASP on to others.

  85.      If you compress the files into an archive for distribution or for
  86.      posting to a BBS please name the archive "WASP" + "version number",
  87.      eg WASP101.ZIP.  (The archive file extension will of course change if
  88.      you use a different archiving utility.)

  91. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  92. =========================
  93.      WASP will run directly off the distribution floppy disk without any
  94.      special installation procedure.  Simply follow the startup instructions
  95.      in the box at the beginning of this file.  However the distributor may
  96.      have compressed the files into an archive file to fit more onto the
  97.      floppy.  If your distribution disk does not contain all the files listed
  98.      above, but instead contains the file WASP101.ZIP or WASP101.ARC (or some
  99.      similar name) please follow the distributors instructions to un-archive
  100.      the files.

  102.      To install WASP on your hard disk all you have to do is copy all the
  103.      files on the distribution disk into a new sub-directory.  To create a
  104.      new sub-directory on your hard drive follow these steps :-
  105.  
  106.          1)  Ensure that you are at the DOS prompt, ie display shows C:>
  107.              (if your hard drive is drive D display shows D:> , etc)
  108.          2)  If you want the new sub-directory to be off the root directory
  109.              type CD\ and press <ENTER>.  If you prefer the new sub-directory
  110.              to be off some other directory change to that directory.
  111.          3)  Type MD WASP and press <ENTER>.
  112.          4)  Type CD WASP and press <ENTER>.  Display should show C:\WASP>.

  114.      If your distribution disk contains all the files in the LIST OF FILES
  115.      above, insert it into the A drive and type COPY A:*.* and press <ENTER>.
  116.      The programme is then ready to run.  If your distribution disk does not
  117.      contain all the files listed above, but instead contains the archive
  118.      file WASP101.ZIP or WASP101.ARC (or some similar name) copy that file to
  119.      the new sub-directory (eg COPY A:WASP101.ZIP).  Then follow the
  120.      distributors instructions to un-archive the files.

  123. DETAILED INSTRUCTION MANUAL
  124. ===========================
  125.      The detailed instruction manual for WASP is included on the distribution
  126.      disk in the form of a text file called WASPBOOK.DOC.  It contains only
  127.      standard ASCII characters and should print successfully on any printer.

  129.      To make a hard copy of the manual you should set your printer up to use
  130.      a 10 cpi font (most printers default to this at startup) and from the
  131.      WASP sub-directory type PRINT WASPBOOK.DOC and then press <ENTER>.  It
  132.      is also possible to make a copy of the manual by running the WASP
  133.      programme and pressing <Alt P> at the opening screen.

  136. REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
  137. =========================
  138.      WASP is distributed as Shareware.  This means you are free to use this
  139.      copy of WASP for a few weeks to determine its value and usefulness to
  140.      you.  If you find WASP to be worth the asking price then you register
  141.      by sending us your order form and cheque.  If WASP does not meet your
  142.      needs or standards then it costs you nothing and you can reformat the
  143.      distribution disk and use it for something else (or preferably pass it
  144.      on to someone who may find it useful !).  The manual and the on-line
  145.      help screens contain more details on shareware for those new to this
  146.      system of software distribution.

  148.      Full details of the registration process and licensing costs are
  149.      included in the manual and within the programme.  The easiest way to
  150.      complete the registration form is to run WASP and press <Alt R> at the
  151.      Shareware Distribution screen.

  154. SHAREWARE DISTRIBUTORS

  157.      get WASP widely known.  Any bona fide distributor of shareware (including
  158.      disk distributors, BBS operators, computer clubs, magazines on or
  159.      enclosing disks and CD-ROM manufacturers) are welcome to include WASP

  163.             If they are compressed into an archive please use the naming
  164.             convention given with the list of files above.

  169.             a menu or automatic archive extraction.

  173.             not for WASP.

  176.             up to US$10-00 plus postage may be made for the evaluation disk.
